Marcela Ñañez is a Colombian political scientist, who graduated with honours from the National University of Colombia. She is a DEI policy adviser with a keen interest in the intersection between youth affairs, gender equality and social policy.

Marcela also has extensive experience working with young people from different positions: as a debate teacher and activist, coordinator for the transversalisation of Medellín’s Youth Public Policy, and as a researcher focused on inclusive environments for young students.

She is the co-founder of Aquelarre, a feminist collective working to make gender equality education more accessible for young women in Medellín. She engages with youth initiatives to understand how the arena of sociopolitical participation of local youth works in Colombia.
