Natasha Markus

Natasha Markus is a project administrator at the Human Sciences Research Council in the Equitable Education and Economies division. She holds a higher certificate in accounting from MANCOSA (2023), a qualification in computerized bookkeeping from Damelin College (2015), and has completed several certifications in bookkeeping and office administration through Varsity College, Rosebank College, and Vetta Communications.
She is currently pursuing a degree in accounting through MANCOSA. With a strong background in financial administration and project coordination, she contributes to overall project administration and coordination of projects at the HSRC.
Previous and current experience and special projects
Before joining the HSRC, Markus held various bookkeeping and administrative roles across several sectors. She was responsible for debtor invoicing, bank reconciliations, supplier payments, procurement, and contract preparation. At Daisy Business Solutions, she processed commissions, sales reports, and reconciliations while supporting both creditors and debtors. Markus has consistently supported project teams through efficient financial systems management and has developed a reputation for reliability, precision, and organizational effectiveness.
Natasha plays a key operational role in supporting HSRC research projects, ensuring smooth financial and administrative implementation. Her attention to detail and systematic approach to financial workflows contribute significantly to the successful delivery of project outputs. She is particularly skilled in reconciling accounts, managing procurement processes, and maintaining accurate internal financial records.
